BALTIMORE (AP) - Public works officials in Baltimore say replacement began on three 16-foot sections of 54-inch water main in the southwest part of the city.

Officials say work will began on Monday, but the Southwest Transmission Main has already been deactivated. Water customers may notice a slight drop in water pressure.

Customers are urged to continue conservation measures until the work is completed in about two weeks.
