GLEN BURNIE, Md. - Outside, the marching band is warming up. Inside Bill Bateman's in Glen Burnie, the energy is on fire as the caravan rolls through. Mascot Poe, the cheerleaders, and the front office staff made several stops on an unforgettable Purple Friday.
"Autographed football from Terrell Suggs, it's unbelievable. I can't believe it,” said Richard Dymond, of Millersville, who won the ball in a raffle drawing.
The thought that Sunday could be #52’s last dance out of the tunnel is also incredible for fans. Ray Lewis announced his retirement on Wednesday.
Superfan Captain Dee-Fense knows a little something about the tough tackles.
“It's going to be a very emotional game and I think everybody is going to up their level," said Captain Dee-Fense.
On this day, purple hair seems normal. James Sparenberg went to work with a purple mustache, a purple Fu Manchu, purple hair and eyebrows.
The thousands of screaming fans, the home advantage, and that one guy who is already a winner, none of this can hurt the team leading up to Sunday.
“I hope it translates to Sunday, and I think we're going to do really well cause I don't think Indianapolis can't touch us," said Dymond, comparing his own football win.
The caravan will be on the move next Friday, as well, if the Ravens win against the Colts on Sunday.
