BALTIMORE - Baltimore City Police are investigating the stabbing of a Edmondson Westside High School senior as he walked to school Wednesday morning.

Police say the senior was walking on an access road to the school in the 4400 block of Edmondson Avenue at about 8:30 a.m. when an altercation between him and a group of other students ensued.

The victim was stabbed three times during the fight. He then ran into the school where administrators called police and emergency personnel. He was taken to a local hospital where he is listed in serious condition.

City Police and School Police are working together to determine the identity of the other students involved and a possible motive in the stabbing.
