Same sex couples get healthcare benefits

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. -
Beginning January 1, 2012 same sex married couples will be able to get health care benefits.
Earlier this week the Health Care Review committee of Baltimore County approved County Executive Kevin Kamenetz's recommendation to extend the healthcare benefits to same sex married couples that are legally married in other states.
This will apply to all County employees. Kamenetz says that he is pleased that the committee went forward with it, and that he believes that it's the right thing to do.
