BALTIMORE - Friday marked the one week anniversary of that massacre. All across the country, and in Maryland a moment of silence was observed at 9:30 a.m. to reflect on the 26 people killed seven days prior.

Among the victims, 20 children who were just starting their lives.

Before that moment of silence, Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake hosted an interfaith ceremony to honor the victims.

She was joined by city employees, residents, first responders and faith leaders at city hall.

"It's time for us to come together and to review our commitment to human dignity, to safer communities, and a more peaceful world," Mayor Rawlings-Blake said.
