BALTIMORE - Baltimore City Police converged on the Royal Farms store on Harford Road in Hamilton Tuesday evening responding to reports of a robbery and shooting.

"At least two robbers, one armed with a gun, came into the store and robbed the store of money and cigarettes.  At some point, (I'm) not sure when, the gun was turned on our victim.  Ultimately, he was shot," said Baltimore City Police Agent Donny Moses.

Police have now released pictures of the suspects who ran out of the store and escaped into the darkness on foot.

Word of the shooting spread today prompting some regular customers, like Michael Zemanick, to have second thoughts about the safety surrounding the place where he grabs his morning coffee.

"I'm not from this area.  I just moved to the city.  I'm from the country---the Ellicott City area and this kind of thing is new to me.  (It's) surprising and kind of frightening," said Zemanick.

Police say the robbers used a silver revolver and the bullet struck the unidentified 46-year old man in the chest.

There was no shortage of witnesses inside the store at the time, and one of them is being heralded as a Good Samaritan.

"There was one witness that actually helped the victim in this case,” said Agent Moses, “(It was) a traumatic incident.  It went down.  She kept her cool.  She talked to the victim until the medics got here.  She did a great job.  We're just hoping that other people can contribute with information and help us bring this case to a close."
