Pat Modell, wife of former Baltimore Ravens owner Art Modell, died Wednesday.

Modell was an actress, who starred on the daytime soap opera "General Hospital."  At one point in her career, she had appeared in more television shows than any woman in U.S. history.  Lucille Ball eventually broke her record.

She married former Cleveland Browns & Baltimore Ravens owner Art Modell in 1969.

When she moved to Baltimore, she served on several boards here in Maryland.  She worked with House of Ruth, Gilchrist Hospice, Kennedy Krieger Institute, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and The Walters Art Museum.

The Modells pledged $5 million to help a public boarding school for disadvantaged students, called the SEED school.

Patricia was born in New York City.

She is survived by her husband, Art, two sons, John & David, and six grandchildren.
