BALTIMORE (WMAR) - Orioles fans have a reason to cheer Thursday night after the team announced that they have agreed to terms on one year contracts with Jim Johnson and Jason Hammel.
The decision means that Johnson and Hammel avoid arbitration.
Johnson, 29, helf a franchise record and more than 50 saves last year. He was also named the Rolaids Relief Man of the Year.
With 20 starts for the O's last year, 30-year-old Hammel was 8-6 with a 3.43 ERA.
Darren O'day is the only remaining arbitration-eligible player who has not signed a contract with the team this year.
