BALTIMORE -

Baltimore police say two officers jumped into the Inner Harbor to rescue two people.

It happened about 2 p.m. Tuesday. Police say a woman went into the water and was in distress. Authorities say a man jumped in to help and he, too, became distressed.

Officers Larry Tucker and Anthony Magwood, who are assigned to the Inner Harbor, jumped in and pulled both from the water.

The man and woman pulled from the water were treated by Fire Department paramedics.
