BALTIMORE - Across the world people are celebrating the planet and earth friendly actions. And the National Aquarium has been celebrating earth day all weekend with lots of activities, and the celebration continues today
Earth day is a time for people to take action in their community to protect the environment and the folks at the Aquarium are trying to help the public contribute to environmental issues.
"Earth Day is an opportunity for us all to really reflect on the things the planet has given us--food, shelter, water, everything we've needed to survive since the beginning," said Laura Bankey.
Bankey also said it's important for people to take part in Earth Day, but also every day to protect our resources: clean water, clean air, and healthy communities.
She said we can all take small actions to preserve and protect our planet in the future.
