The future of Morgan State University’s ousted president David Wilson is up in the air after a public meeting on the school’s campus on Friday.

On December 10, the university’s Board of Regents confirmed that it would not renew Wilson’s contract which expires in June 2013.

Clint Coleman, Director of Public Relations for Morgan, said Friday’s meeting did not change that decision but opened up negotiations for a possible year extension of  Dr. Wilson’s contract. The extension would keep Wilson on the job until June 2014.

Coleman did not speculate on the reason for the extension.
