BALTIMORE -
Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake signed an Executive Order Saturday afternoon, formally declaring a local State of Emergency.
The executive order comes after significant and ongoing disruption of power to over 90,000 BGE customers in Baltimore City.
The formal order implements the City’s Emergency Operations Plan to ensure comprehensive storm response and recovery efforts and will potentially facilitate possible future federal reimbursement of storm costs.
