BALTIMORE - Authorities say a man was struck and killed by a Baltimore Metro subway train near the West Cold Spring station.
The Maryland Transit Administration says the man was walking westbound on the eastbound tracks about 3:15 p.m. Thursday when he was struck by the train. He died at the scene. It's not known why he was on the tracks.
Passengers were evacuated from the train. No one else was injured.
Trains are not stopping at the station while the accident is investigated. The MTA is providing shuttle buses.
