BALTIMORE (WMAR) -
Our local neighbors are traveling to help the northern neighbors.
Supano’s Steak House in downtown Baltimore has organized a trip with Epic Church in Canton on Monday. They are collecting supplies and heading to New Jersey.
Bread donations from H&S Bakery are in, and large generators to heat up homes in minutes are on the way.
"They're so close to us. They're only a couple hours away. We were so close to getting hit ourselves that if the city was devastated like New Jersey is now I would certainly be hoping that they would be coming down to help us too," said Rob Kowalski, who is helping to organize the local relief.
The group is looking for people who are willing to travel to Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey for a few days and provide some relief. They are leaving on Monday afternoon and returning Wednesday.
If you can’t go, they are asking for cleaning supplies and hygiene items to be donated. You can drop them off at two locations:
Supano's Steak House
110 Water St.
Baltimore
Epic Church
3100 Boston St.
Baltimore
(in Du Burns Arena)
