BALTIMORE (AP) - Corrections officials say an inmate who was erroneously released from the Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center is back in custody.
The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services said Wednesday that 21-year-old John Planters, who was mistakenly released on July 23, was back in custody on Saturday. Planters was being held without bond on a second-degree assault charge.
The circumstances involving the mistaken release are being investigated.
