BALTIMORE - Good Morning Maryland surprised anchor Megan Pringle with a very special sendoff Friday morning, as she's going on maternity leave.

Pringle and her husband, Rob Carlin, are expecting twin girls this fall.

Her husband, along with ABC2 News anchor, Jamie Costello, surprised Pringle at the very end of the show. Carlin brought in flowers and Costello dazzled her with a couple of Baltimore Ravens jerseys.

Earlier in the show, the staff presented Pringle with an Edible Arrangement and a special taped sendoff from ABC2 News anchor, Kelly Swoope.

Pringle will not be absent from the show in the coming weeks. She will be providing stories, live via Skype, as well as contributing to other areas of the show.

Pringle plans to return sometime in January.

Help Megan and Rob celebrate!  Leave them a message on our Facebook page .
