BALTIMORE (AP) - Pennsylvania has a groundhog that predicts whether winter will end early. And now, the makers of Old Bay seafood seasoning say they have a crab that will tell whether winter is coming early.

The crab nicknamed Baltimore Bill will walk off a plank and drop into Baltmore's Inner Harbor on Wednesday. If he goes off the right side it will be an early winter. And if he goes off the left side it will be a warm fall.

The event will take place near the new World of Flavors retail location opened by Old Bay maker McCormick & Co.
