Five hurt in fire truck crash

BALTIMORE -  

Five people were hurt in a fire engine crash Saturday night, officials said.
 
The crash happened at the intersection of Edmondson Ave. and Monroe St. while Baltimore City Fire Department Engine Company 36 was responding to a fire in the 1600 block of Druid Hill Ave.
 
One civilian was injured in the wreck, along with the pump operator of Engine 36. They were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Three additional fire fighters were taken to Mercy Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. 
 
Fire officials said details of the crash will be released at the conclusion of the investigation.
