BALTIMORE - Baltimore City police converged on a liquor store in the 200 block of North Fulton Avenue on the city’s west side just before 11:00 Tuesday morning.

"The victim was shot in the groin area.  He's currently in surgery at Shock Trauma.  Detectives are working that scene as we speak.  I don't have any information on suspect or motive," said Police Spokesman Anthony Guglielmi.

A back up unit racing to that scene met a green Volkswagon Passat at the corner of North Monroe Street and West Mulberry sending the squad car into a vacant lot and causing heavy damage to the front of the other vehicle.

Before officers could respond to that accident, yet a second shooting occurred just two miles away.

Police found a 17-year old woman and a 19-year old male victim suffering from gunshot wounds in the 3900 block of West Mulberry.

The unidentified female victim died a short time later

"Detectives are working the scene right now,” said Guglielmi, “They're asking anyone with information to possibly provide a motive.  We're trying to figure out exactly what took place and what transpired for these individuals to be shot."
