BALTIMORE - Baltimore Police will honor fallen Officer William Torbit Friday February 3rd during a street naming ceremony at Wildwood Parkway at noon.

Officer Torbit was shot and killed outside of a nightclub last January.

He was on duty in plainclothes when he responded to a report of trouble at Club Select.

He tried to break up a fight, but was attacked, and pulled out his weapon to defend himself.

Other officers opened fire, killing Torbit.

Police say Officer Torbit was wearing his badge, but there was no other indicator he was police.

A 22-year-old civilian, Sean Gamble, was also killed in the shooting.
