BALTIMORE (WMAR) - Baltimore City firefighters rescued an elderly woman trapped beneath a vehicle Monday.
Crews responded to the intersection of Callaway Ave and Chatham Road at about 12:00 p.m. for reports of a woman trapped.
Firefighters found a 70-year-old woman unresponsive, unconscious, pulseless and in cardiac arrest.
The woman's legs were pinned beneath the front of the vehicle. Firefighters immediately used airbags to raise the car to remove the woman.
She was immediately assessed by paramedics and found to be in cardiac arrest.
The woman was taken to an area hospital where further resuscitation efforts continued, however, she succumbed to her injuries.
Baltimore City Police have classified the case as a suspicious death.
