BALTIMORE - The Cal Ripken Senior Foundation is launching a special opportunity for kids to get outside and play some baseball.
The program is called Badges for Baseball.
It’s a new initiative that will provide opportunities to children living in high drug traffic areas.
It pairs police officers with kids so they can learn and play.
The goal is to reshape the relationship between law enforcement and children living in under-served communities.
Sixteen states around the county participate in Badges for Baseball.
