BALTIMORE (WMAR) -

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works has announced this year's schedule for both Christmas tree mulching and tree curbside pick-up.

Christmas tree mulching services will be offered at the Reedbird Avenue Citizen Convenience Center at 701 Reedbird Avenue, every Friday and Saturday in January from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Residents may bring bags or containers if they wish to collect mulch for their own use. Groups are also encouraged to bring containers to collect free mulch for their neighborhood gardens.

For those who cannot bring their trees for mulching, the Department will offer curbside pick-up from Wednesday, January 2 through Thursday January 31, 2013 on residents' regularly scheduled trash day.
