BALTIMORE, Md. - Baltimore city police say a 12-year-old boy was struck by a car Thursday evening, has died, due to his injuries.
According to a police report obtained by ABC 2 News, Joshua Blackwell, was riding his bicycle with a group of 10 to 12 juveniles along Lynhurst Avenue, near Windsor Mill Road.
Blackwell was riding just ahead of the group, with an unidentified male.
A Honda Element was traveling southbound on Windsor Mill Road, when Blackwell failed to stop at the stop sign and entered into the intersection.
Once into the intersection, Blackwell began braking but lost control of his bicycle and slid under the Honda.
The Honda was unable to stop, and drove over Blackwell.
Blackwell was transported to a local area hospital, where he subsequently died from his injuries.
