BALTIMORE (WMAR) - All smiles today at the Herman and Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai, thanks to an event organized by Casey Cares.

Pediatric patients spent part of their day stuffing and dressing their new Build A Bears.

We talked to John Carver today, whose daughter is going through her third round of cancer. He says days like this are exactly what Julianna needs. "It's a real big deal for her," he said.

John also told us they got some good news a few weeks ago, while Julianna will continue treatments, it looks like the cancer is gone!

Casey Cares supports the pediatric patients at Sinai in various ways throughout the year including providing new sleep wear and themed parties to patients during their extended stays. This program helps children feel more at home in a hospital environment.
