BALTIMORE (WMAR) - A Baltimore City Police officer was rushed to the hospital following a house fire Saturday afternoon.
Roman Clark, spokesperson for the Baltimore City Fire Department, explains that the fire broke out around 2:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of Eutaw Place.
The fire quickly rose to 2 alarms and spread into a neighboring home. Everyone who lived in the houses made it out safely and without injury.
Clark explains that one Baltimore City officer had to be transported for smoke inhalation.
A spokesperson for the Baltimore Police Department confirms that the injured officer has been treated and released for the the hospital.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
