BALTIMORE - Baltimoreans are holding a festival to support their efforts to make the city's harbor swimmable and fishable once again.
The Middle Branch Waterfront Festival on Saturday celebrates the Middle Branch Park and Basin and the city's goal of making the harbor swimmable and fishable by 2020. The festival also supports Reach High Baltimore, a rowing program to get middle school children on the water and closer to nature.
Festival activities include kayaking, canoeing and rowing education as well as ecological tours and environmental activities.
