BALTIMORE - An elephant at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore is recovering from a virus.

Samson is the only elephant ever born here in Baltimore and Zoologists are hopeful he will recover.

The strain can be deadly, but zookeepers caught it at the end of February and Samson has recovered dramatically.

He is almost five years old and his birthday is on Tuesday.
