BALTIMORE (WMAR) - According to Chemistry. com , Baltimore placed second in the US where lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender singles are looking to get married and raise children.

In honor of gay pride month, Chemistry. com released a new national ranking of the top locations for LGBT singles with traditional values. The list, which is based on data from the over 10 million surveyed responses, shows the top 10 cities where singles are looking to get married and raise children.

Richmond, Va, ranked first followed by Baltimore, Los Angeles, Rochester, NY, Hartford, CT, Las Vegas, Pittsburg, Seattle, San Fransisco and Washington, DC.

Dr. Helen Fisher a biological anthropologist and Chief Scientific Advisor to Chemistry. com says the findings are interesting. "The gays and lesbians in these 10 cities have an extra predisposition.  Most are also predominantly what  I call Negotiators--men and women particularly expressive of the estrogen system in the brain. Negotiators tend to be empathetic, linguistically skilled, adept at handling people--and nurturing.  So many will 'naturally' want to wed and rear kids, as this study elegantly shows," she said.
