BALTIMORE (WMAR) - Acting Baltimore City Police Commissioner, Anthony Barksdale is taking a medical leave and will be out indefinitely.
As of Monday, Barksdale went on medical leave citing an ongoing medical ailment that requires him not to work.
Barksdale's leave comes the same day as Anthony W. Batts, arrived to take over as police commissioner. Watts decided to start work early in order to meet with the departments' officers. He officially takes over as the commissioner on Thursday.
