DAVIDSONVILLE, Md. - A woman and a teenager died Saturday after their car slammed into a tree Friday night in Anne Arundel County.
Police said the driver, Carrie Lynn Desmond, 36 and her fourteen-year-old passenger were critically injured Friday night around 10 p.m. when their Ford Focus crashed in the 3600 block of Patuxent Road in Davidsonville. Desmond was driving south on Patuxent River Road--less than a mile from home--when the car swerved off the road and hit a tree.
First responders took Desmond to Shock Trauma by helicopter where she died at 6:30 Saturday morning. Her passenger was airlifted to Prince George's Hospital Center where he died at 1:15 Saturday afternoon.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
