Three homes evacuated after gas leak

PASADENA, Md. (WMAR) - Anne Arundel County Fire crews responded to a a call of a natural gas leak in the 8400 block of Virginia Avenue in the  Riviera Beach section of Pasadena.

When crews arrived on the scene, they found an active gas leak near a day care and elementary school.

Students were sheltered in the building and completely safe, according to officials.

Fire officials tell ABC2 News that three homes were evacuated due to safety precautions.

Baltimore Gas and Electric crews arrived on the scene around 2 p.m. to secure the gas line.  BGE reports that only one of their costumers were affected.

 

People are now back in there homes and children were released from school on time.
