PASADENA, Md. (WMAR) - A Bladensburg police officer has died after a crash on Route 100 in Pasadena that may have been caused by a medical emergency.
Police say the single car crash involving a police cruiser happened around 9 a.m. Saturday. The Bladensburg police officer suffered significant injuries and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
A witness at the scene says rescuers cut the top of the police car off to pull out the officer. Anne Arundel County police have not released the name of the victim.
