ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WMAR) - The swimming advisory for Sandy Point State Park's East Beach has been lifted.
The advisory went into effect on July 30 when high levels of bacteria not acceptable for swimming. The Anne Arundel County Department of Health says the levels are now acceptable for swimming and direct contact.
The beach is tested regularly as part of the Department's summer recreational water quality sampling program, which monitors more than 90 community beaches.
