Pregnant woman hit by car, facing serious injuries

ODENTON, Md. (WMAR) - A 20-year-old pregnant woman is in serious condition after she was hit by a car.

Anne Arundel County Fire officials said the woman, who is 40-weeks pregnant, was hit around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of Chaplegate Drive in Odenton.

The victim was taken to Shock Trauma by ambulance where she is receiving treatment for her injuries. 

There is no word on if the pregnancy has been compromised by this incident, but fire crews say the victim's injuries are non-life threatening.
