GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WMAR) -

Anne Arundel County Police say a man who they stopped for a traffic citation told them that his wife was at home, dead.

At about 11:00 p.m. Monday, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at W. Ordnance Road and Roberts Court in Glen Burnie. Upon talking to the driver, he told the officer that his wife was dead inside their home in the 6600 block of Roberts Court and asked if officers could check on her.

Officers went to the home and found Bonnie Grace Anthony-Garde, 50, unresponsive. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to the Chief Medical Examiner, Anthony-Grade died of gastrointestinal hemorrhaging due to excessive alcohol consumption and her death has been ruled natural.

Due to the driver's intoxicated condition, he was taken to a local hospital, where he will be formally charged with various traffic violations.
