Pedestrian killed in Orchard Beach accident

PASADENA, Md. - Officials with the Anne Arundel County Police Department are investigating a fatal crash that happened at the intersection of Fort Smallwood Road and Pittman Road Thursday morning.
Two women were crossing the road at the intersection when one was struck by a vehicle. Officials say the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene.
The woman was transported to Baltimore Washing Medical Center, where she was later pronounced deceased.
Officials have identified the deceased woman as 31-year-old Karla Nicole Wilson of Mayfield Avenue in Baltimore.
