ANNAPOLIS, Md. - It might have been pretty hot outside, but that didn't stop summer campers in Annapolis from having a good time.

Orioles outfielder Adam Jones stopped by the Boys & Girls Club at Bates today to meet the campers and play a game of Quickball - a faced paced game that takes the fundamentals of baseball to get kids moving and having fun.

Jones' visit is part of the Club's effort to focus on different sports every week throughout the summer. This week is "Baseball Week" which is a program that is part of a partnership with the Cap Ripken Sr. Foundation Badges for Baseball program. The program helps coaches and instructors with tools to incorporate life lessons on the field including teamwork, leadership, and other ways to help kids stay active.

Kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County were on hand to play ball with Jones. The Orioles center fielder then answer questions from the kids.

The Boys & Girls Club's multi-sport efforts focus on baseball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, and golf. More than 2,400 youth take part in the four Clubs in Anne Arundel County.
