PASADENA, Md. -
A two-year-old-husky was shot to death after it attacked and killed a neighbor’s goats, police said.
The attack happened around 11 p.m. on February 9, police said. According to police, the Husky and another dog got into a goat pen in the 800 block of Woods Road in Pasadena and began attacking the goats. A neighbor called in to help tried to stop the dog attack but the dogs turned on him. That’s when the neighbor shot and killed the Husky. The other dog, described as a Sheperd/Husky mix, was also shot at and possibly wounded. Police said the dog ran away and has not been located.
The owner of the Husky has been notified. A preliminary investigation found that the Husky escaped its property underneath a fence before attacking the goats. Animal Control is actively searching for the second dog.
Anne Arundel County Police recovered the gun and are following standard procedure to verify the owners possessed the gun legally.
Anyone with information on this incident or the whereabouts of the second dog or its owners is asked to contact Anne Arundel County Animal Control at 410-222-8900.
