ANNAPOLIS, Md. -
An 85-year-old man who wandered away from his Annapolis home Monday has been found.
Annapolis police found Melvin William Colbert Tuesday morning in woods near his home Tuesday morning. He was cold and wet, but alive.
The search for Colbert, who suffers from dementia, has been intense since he was reported missing Monday.
Annapolis Police Chief Michael Pristoop said, "from the minute we were notified to the time we found Mr. Colbert, Annapolis police officers tirelessly investigated and searched for him. There was a ton of concern. Nearly 27,000 people saw our Facebook post. In the end, a police search team found him. We are all grateful for the results."
