EDGEWATER, Md. (WMAR) -

A 20-year-old man has died after he was involved in a car crash early Saturday morning.

Ryan Douglas Anderson of Harwood died after a crash at about 1:30 a.m. on Hillside Avenue in Edgewater.

Police responded to the accident scene to find a Honda Civic driven by Anderson had struck a house.

The investigation has determined that the crash happened at a T-intersection, when Anderson failed to stop at the intersection, drove off the roadway into a yard and collided with the front porch of a house and foundation.

Evidence suggests that Anderson was not restrained by a seatbelt, and the majority of the damage was sustained to the windshield and roof areas.

The house was occupied at the time of the crash, however, no one inside was injures.

Anderson was pronounced dead a short time after the crash.

At this time, it is unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash, however, it does not appear that speed was.
