CURTIS BAY, Md. - A 40-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries Wednesday following an explosion of an electrical transformer in Curtis Bay.
According to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, it received a 911 call around 7 a.m. for a report of a man being burned at the Constellation Energy Power Plant, located in the 1000 block of Brandon Shores Road. Emergency medical personnel found the man suffering from second- and third-degree burns over 60 percent of his body.
The victim was transported by ambulance to the Bayview Burn Center in Baltimore with serious, life-threatening injuries. An investigation into cause of the incident is being conducted by MOSH (Maryland Occupational Safety and Health).
