PASADENA, Md. - Police have arrested a man who impersonated a police officer while trying to serve a warrant to a Pasadena woman.

At around 9:17 p.m. on July 13 suspect Joshua Thomas Jones, 33, of Pasadena, approached a female victim outside her home in the 3300 block of Pescara Court in Pasadena.

He told her that he was a member of the Sheriff’s Office, said he was there to serve a warrant, then asked for her address.

The victim was suspicious and realized that an officer should already know where she lived.

The suspect got out of the white Ford Crown Victoria he was driving and started reading addresses, then left the area.

The victim got the tag number from the car and was later able to confirm his identity.

He was later arrested and charged with impersonating a police officer.
