MILLERSVILLE, Md - Anne Arundel County Executive John Leopold joined Animal Control to sign legislation into law that would allow people to adopt pets for free on specific dates.
The law will give Animal Control the ability to waive adoption fees and lift spay and neuter charges at special events.
Also, Animal Control will be operating off of extended hours from 3:00 p.m - 6:00 p.m. every Wednesday.
This law will take effect in 45 days.
