ANNAPOLIS, Md. -

There's plenty of meat and cheese on the menu for lawmakers attending a Taste of Maryland Agriculture event in Annapolis.

The offerings Thursday include donations from three cheesemakers, three lamb farms, two producers of pork products and one beef farm.

The Maryland Agriculture Council says there are apples from Frederick County and eggs from Westminster. But the only vegetables on the menu are marinated mushrooms from Cecil County.

The beverages include milk, apple cider and a variety of wines from the Maryland Wineries Association.
