Two lanes of northbound I-295 near the intersection of I-695 were closed Friday in attempt for crews to make emergency repairs.
The lanes were closed to allow a temporary fix for pavement issues.
After rush hour, officials said, the lanes will be closed for a permanent fix. Rotating closures of lanes in the area will extend throughout the night, as long as the weather cooperates.
Drivers are advised to use US 1 or I-95 to reach the Baltimore area and avoid traffic delays.
