ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Annapolis City Police found the missing body of a 2-year-old they say was killed by her mother.
Police say that Kassidey Capri Booth's body was found at the waste transfer site in Jessup on Thursday night.
The child's mother, Chelsea Michelle Booth has been charged in the death of her daughter.
When interviewed by police Booth said her daughter was suffering from a "Muslim curse" that Antwon Nelson, the child's father, had placed on her. Booth also said she believed her daughter was possessed by an evil spirit.
Police documents say that Booth said she murdered Kassidey by "laying on top of her and smothering her until Kassidey stopped breathing and showed no signs of life. Ms. Booth then wrapped Kassidey in a blanket and placed her body into a trash dumpster.."
Nelson said that he hadn't seen the girl in several months.
Booth was charged with child abuse, leading to first degree death, and 1st and 2nd degree murder.
