Schools play a crucial role in the fight against childhood obesity. That's why officials with the Anne Arundel County public school system are participating in a forum tonight to address the issue.
They'll be attending the viewing of the HBO documentary "Weight of the Nation," focusing on the section called "Children in Crisis." The AACPS is one of the groups involved in the Annapolis Community Health initiative, which works to emphasis the importance of healthy eating and regular exercise.
There will be a panel discussion following the viewing on how to better help children maintain a healthy lifestyle at home, at school and in their community.
