BAYSIDE BEACH, Md. (WMAR) - The Maryland Natural Resources Police recovered the body of Jason Ryman, 27, of Philadelphia today. Ryman went missing on September 3 when strong winds caused him to fall into the water while boating.

Police say Ryman was boating in the Six Foot Knoll area of the Chesapeake Bay, north of Gibson Island with family and friends when a storm with high wind gusts caused the sailboat he was in to tilt.

Ryman and Hannah Kahn, 26, also of Philadelphia, slid off the boat and into the water. The crew was able to quickly get Kahn back onboard, however, Ryman was unable to be reached.

Police recovered Ryman's body at about 9:30 a.m. today. His body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsy.
