BROOKLYN PARK, Md. (WMAR) - A Brooklyn park family is mourning the death of a three-year-old who drowned at a Fourth of July gathering Wednesday night.
Fire officials say they received a 911 call around 9:45 Wednesday night for reports of a child who had possibly drowned.
A preliminary investigation found that a 3-year-old boy was attending a family party when family members realized he was missing. The boy's father found him at the bottom of a backyard swimming pool.
The child was taken to Harbor Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:25pm.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
